Sea Trek Night Dive in Cozumel

The experience
of a lifetime

Sea Trek Night Dive in Cozumel

A Night Dive Experience for everyone*

There is no other experience quite like a Sea Trek Helmet NIGHT DIVE. Meet the marine life that hides during the day and comes out to play at night.

Explore bioluminescence: Moving your hands through the water triggers glowing sparks and neon flashes from tiny marine organisms

Sensory Shift: Your focus narrows to the bright beam of your flashlight, making color more intense.

*ages 8+ with minimum weight 80 lbs/36 kg

Location:
Jeanie’s Beach Club (downtown)

Thursdays 7:00 PM Start Time. Must reserve at least 48 hours prior.
$316 usd for up to four divers. $79 usd per additional diver.

What Makes the Night Experience Special?

1. Different Marine Life: Many ocean creatures are nocturnal. At night, daytime reef fish retreat into coral nooks to sleep, while nocturnal species—such as lobsters, crabs, octopus, moray eels, bioluminescent plankton, and stingrays—come out to feed and explore.
2. Underwater Flashlights & Lighting: Dive guides use lights to highlight coral structures and active marine life. The contrast between the dark ocean surrounding you and the illuminated path creates a dramatic, “space-walk” sensation.
3. Calmer, Intimate Atmosphere: Group sizes are kept very small (often 4–6 participants per guide), making the evening walk quiet and intimate.

No Diving/Swimming Skills Needed: You don’t need a scuba certification or even the ability to swim. You simply descend a ladder step-by-step to the sandy ocean floor (typically around 15 to 20 feet deep) and walk around.
Breathe Naturally: The continuous surface-supplied air into the continuous-flow helmet keeps water out. Your head, hair, and face stay completely dry, meaning you can comfortably wear eyeglasses or contact lenses during the walk.
Guided Safety: Certified dive guides accompany small groups throughout the entire walk, guiding you along a designated trail on the sea floor with specialized lights.

General Tips & What to Bring

What to Wear: Swimsuit / rashguard and water shoes or dive booties (footwear is recommended for walking comfortably on the sea floor).
Towels & Change of Clothes: Bring a dry set of clothes for after the dive.
Medical Considerations: As with any hyperbaric/diving activity, standard medical clearance forms apply (avoiding flight travel immediately after diving is generally not required for shallow helmet dives like Sea Trek, but it’s always good practice to check local guidelines).
